Shade sails were developed in Australia in the 1990s, and they are an excellent alternative to traditional awnings when it comes to sun protection.  Due to their highly tensioned design, shade sails can provide more coverage with less metal framework.

Who is New England Shade Sails?

We are a division of Concord Awning, a Bow, New Hampshire based awning and shade design and fabrication shop since 1919.  We are proven shade sail experts – we’ve  been fabricating shade sails since 2011 and have been expanding this part of our business ever since.  Every product pictured on our web site was designed, fabricated and installed by us.  

We can be a ‘one-stop shop’ for your shade sail projects - we design, engineer, fabricate and install all components of the project.   We’ve invested in shade sail equipment, processes and software and can provide renderings for you before we begin your project, to show you what you can expect at completion.
